About Scott Joudry I was born in Halifax in 1977 at the Grace Maternity Hospital (which no longer exists). I grew up in Halifax and the surrounding areas – moving 4 times before 1987. We continued to move around over the next 8 years, from Halifax to New Glasgow to Bridgewater and finally to Liverpool (a town of about 3000 people). After high school graduation in 1995 from Liverpool Regional High School, I went to the University Of New Brunswick in Fredericton, NB. In 1996 I left the university and moved to Toronto to work. I landed a great job at Mount Sinai Hospital in downtown Toronto. Feeling homesick I moved back to Halifax in late 1996 and landed a job at the Honey Garlic Buffet as a dishwasher where I experienced some of the lows and highs of my life. I decided in 1997 to get out of the dish washing business and took a web design course at the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) in Halifax. I stuck with the course for a semester and decided to forge ahead on my own. Since that course I have been constantly improving my web design skills. Between 1997 and 2000 I tried many web business ideas that never really panned out. I felt limited to static HTML pages and all of the professional websites were using some sort of programming technology to add interactivity to their website. I decided that I needed to know these things and took a CGI Programming In PERL course at Henson College. This launched my freelance programming career. In September 2001, I embarked on the Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management course at the NSCC in Dartmouth. After the year was completed I had a business plan, various accomplishments and accolades (including ACCC Branding Finalists and 3rd place winners). I graduated top of my class in June 2002. Since graduating from the Entrepreneurship course, I have continued to build my clientele and continued to work on this site. Between September 2003 and March 2005, I completed a two-year Programming course through the Nova Scotia Community College at the IT campus. After completing my schooling with the NSCC, I took on two fellow students to help them complete their work-term requirements for the college. They are both employed in the industry today!
